02/17/12	National Academy of Inventors - Inaugural Annual Conference	Dr. Thomas J. Fogarty will provide the keynote address on Friday, February 17, 2012 during the conference closing luncheon. Dr. Fogarty is the founder of the Fogarty Institute for Innovation. He is the recipient of countless awards and honors; most significantly, he is the recipient of the Jacobson Innovation Award of the American College of Surgeons, the 2000 Lemelson-MIT prize for Invention and Innovation and was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame and the National Academy of Engineering.

Hubbard Family Reception On Wednesday, June 22, supporters of the Fogarty Institute for Innovation celebrated the opening of the Hubbard Conference Room, a new addition to the FII facility. The Hubbard Family Reception was hosted by the Institute as a tribute to the Hubbard family in appreciation of their generous gift.

Wine with Heart Fundraiser The 15th "Wine with Heart" fundraiser, presented jointly by the Fogarty Institute for Innovation and the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association, was held May 20th. The gala evening included a feast of fine wines and a gourmet meal prepared by celebrity guest chef, Mike Mashayekh of Le Papillon. Silent and live auctions featured rare vintage wines, exotic getaways, and more. Proceeds support the valuable work of the nonprofit Fogarty Institute. View the video from this event. Taft Center Opening On Thursday, March 31, supporters of the Fogarty Institute for Innovation celebrated the opening of the Taft Center for Clinical Research. The evening program was hosted by Institute leadership and the El Camino Hospital Foundation as a tribute to Edward and Pamela Taft in appreciation for their generous gift to fund the Center.
